Updated September 25, 2010: I am was a twenty-something college student (do not let this fool you, I am older than this sentence leads you to believe). I am was in my senior(!) year at a liberal arts college in sunny Arizona. NOW, I’m a high school science teacher!

I (still) like parentheses. I (still) like social justice education. And I (still) like food. I also (still) like climbing rocks, falling down mountains (otherwise known as skiing), running, walking, biking, hiking, and reading food blogs!

This blog may, or may not, end up as a food/exercise blog. It will definitely not be a food/exercise JOURNAL. I will in no way use this to track my daily intake and output. Why? Because you would get bored, I would go crazier than I already am, and my boyfriend would most likely break up with me. It’s really best for everyone involved. I do, however, want to share parts of my life you, like what I had for breakfast on a Tuesday and where I went hiking/biking/running/skiing on a Saturday. NOW that I’m a teacher, you can expect to see (read) more about the ins and outs of being a first year teacher. Hang in there, its bound to be a little bumpy!

Hey girl! I just saw your plug on HTP…I guess Caitlin’s idea is working! You sparked my interest b/c of barefoot running..I have a whole page devoted to Vibram 5 Fingers and the barefoot style..I’m currently on hiatus from running b/c I pushed too hard to fast, but can’t wait to get back into it! I’m taking a free barefoot clinic at the end of May! Looks like you also boulder? The huz and I just moved to Colorado from Charlotte, NC [before that ohio] and are in love with climbing! Just wanted to say hi!
